Default December - How to stay sane?

For the last couple of weeks, I've had the worst luck with buyers. I don't know what I'm doing wrong, but I've been attracting the worlds biggest idiots that should be banned from the internet all together. I feel like a magnet for idiots! Am I the only one experiencing this right now? I need some advice to keep them away. Here is just ONE example!

I sold an iPhone for AT&T, it clearly stated ALL over my listing the phone was for AT&T. The buyer sends me a message confirming the iPhone is for AT&T, I said yes it definitely it. He replies to me, "okay thank you, please ship asap." A couple of days pass by he sends me another messages saying he didn't mean to buy it, and that he is in need of a Verizon phone. I told him no problem, I'll just refund the money. He then sends me over 20 messages of how I should have clearly stated it was for AT&T! At this point I issued the refund and relisted the iPhone.. Good riddance... Wait never mind. Guess who buys it again?!! The same idiot! My wife had to stop me from slamming my head over and over on the kitchen table.

I usually deal with 1 or 2 of these special kind of idiots a month. I'm currently dealing with like 20 of them right now!

Just venting!

To circumvent this, block the buyer.....

Make your selling preferences tight as possible.

And scream!!!!!
Good Luck for fewer dingbats bidding on your listings

November to end off December seems to be the worst months for idiot buyers. I was pulling my hair out last year and was seriously considering not selling certain items this Christmas period because of low ratings from idiot buyers.
Luckily this year I found some low cost items that give me profit and sell fast to balance out the idiots feedback.

And there's also lots of returned - that were badly chosen Christmas presents.

You should have blocked him after the first refund. Plus I always block stupid question buyers quickly before they get a chance to buy... That is IF they ask before buying...

I find that 99% of the time people with stupid questions before buying end up issue down the road. So best to block them right away.

This.

Whoever first said "There are no stupid questions" obviously had locked themselves in a dome with the likes of Socrates, Aristotle, and Eisenstein (really REALLY smart people, for those unfamiliar).

When someone asks a stupid question, or ANY question that is CLEARLY answered in my listing, instant block. F#%k 'em.

As for how I stay sane?

I take naps throughout the day----on my piles and piles of holiday CASH.

Instant block though?

I do find it very annoying when someone asks if I will consider a "offer" for a item I have listed. I say sure as long as its a reasonable price I will consider it...

Almost ALWAYS they take the price I have and chop 60% off of it like I'm going to accept. They are so stupid that they don't even know to do 50% if they AT LEAST want to have a chance of a real negotiation.

I find these types of buyers usually have issues down the line too. If I negotiate at and reply with a counter and they accept I think when they get it they sit and stare at it for hours on end to see if there is something wrong with it....

Cheap a$$ people.

Several people have stated that it does not create a link. If you want to be sure, just add a few random usernames to the list for good measure.

Don't normally bother with half the stuff people say is a link on here anymore but ironically I'd never block all the same users, chances of 2+ accounts having even the same 5 blocked users must be billions/1. Game over with a manual review and then I'm sure they could search who else has the same users on block
