Default Mc999

Created EB account (COM site), all real details, TW bank, prepaid card for making purchases. Purchased some stuff, all cool. Tried listing some items, it got standard suspension email asking to verify. Answered all questions, got reinstated. Listed some old USSR coins at 99 cents - MC999 in4 days. Wtf?

It could be anything or a combination of two or more.

TBH, on a new .com account I wouldn't be listing Russian coins as my first offering.

Was working fine for a few years. Also, what is wrong with the coins? They are cheap, not used anymore, and not on Ayden or ebay restricted items list.

Intutitively nothing seems wrong with used old coins but could be a flagged title term or just new bot scan word implemented....things change :(

Knives worked fine a few years ago too......

Just try to look NORMAL. Who lists Russian coins on .com as their first listings?

Try listing something a typical new ebay seller would. Makes sense doesn't it?

Old used Puma hoodie also removed. What is wrong with coins? Millions of people collect them, so possibility of having ones at home is very high.

Don't ask me, ask ebay. Maybe it wasn't the coins, maybe your account creation process is flawed but it's done now, just saying it a weird choice to warm a .com account.

What do you think about note papers, markers, some small kitchen accessories?

You've rushed. Browsing, bidding, watching for 1-2 weeks before the first listing. Find different low risk item for warming up. Slow and steady.

We have to adapt to the changes. You can try to list used household items or something new as used on eBay.

Those are fun and "kitchy" - should be ok without any big namebrand behind them

As far as I can tell you got suspended for listing a restricted item.

(I wonder if liquor and beer would be alright.)

I'd be interested in the coins if you have nothing else to do with them.

Oh crap. That account was private. Can you please PM me a link to that page? I checked some pages of restricted items but seems there are few of them, and they all have different info.

All I did was type "what items are prohibited in eBay managed payments" into google and that was on the top of the page.
https://www.google.com/search?q=what...utf-8&oe=utf-8

EDIT: I seem to be getting different results each time I search. This is the original page that has that list: https://www.accrueme.com/post/what-y...naged-payments

EDIT 2 : The eBay support page on this policy is convoluted and hard to understand. (https://www.ebay.com/help/policies/p...policy?id=4337) I'd just stay away from currency for now.

WARNING , EBAY LINKS

Thanks for that,. However, there is an issue:

1) Your link leads to UK community site that says coins are completely NONONO
https://community.ebay.co.uk/t5/Busi...s/td-p/6594694

2) There are tens of thousands of coin sellers on ebay, is ebay that blind? I don't think so (can just search for them).

3) Another link of yours says Business sellers are allowed to sell coins (previous post)

4) eBay site says coins are fine for everyone if they follow their requirements:
https://www.ebay.com/help/policies/p...policy?id=4337

So there are at least 4 different statements. Which one is right?

I have no idea. It just seems like the most likely culprit for your suspension, to me.
Of course the fact that you used somebody elses identity could have also been the reason.
