Haven't been here for a while.

Why I can't get the final vaule fee back from EBAY after refund? Very upset under EBAY new system and not sure what to do?

Explain what happened - you refunded...did you cancel the sale?

It is now automatic. Once you refund you are credited the fees back.

If a buyer was refunded cause of a dispute then ebay charges u the fee even though u refunded they still charge ur fess

This is one of the many reason I hate selling on ebay with there returns, if its under or around 100 I just let them keep it with 50% refund.

That's not unreasonable. Sounds very professional to deal with an issue, imo.


Business plans have to allow a certain value where refunds are done.

Noone likes refunds. But they are an evil need.

I think this is what the original poster wants to say because I'm in the same boat as OP. A customer opened a return case on a $130 purchase and I just refunded the buyer partial $110.00

I'm expecting a reverse FVF of $11.00 but ebay so far have kept the fees

Yes. A buyer opened a return case, then I offered the refund (exclude postage), but I haven't received the final value fee back from EBAY, what's wrong?

I tried to open the return case from my side, but it seems EBAY changed the process and I can't open the return case anymore. When I was going to enter the item No. and the page lead ed to "contact Ebay"?

Is the new tricky way that Ebay tries to steal money from sellers?

There New return system doesn't return FVF in a partial amount yet.

Delay? Don't think so. I refunded 2 orders a week ago, but still no credits.

Everyone, please read your bill-credits.

Some credits (about half percent) under my bill without details, just item title, item number and how much. No buyers information, no transaction ID, no case ID etc anymore. I contacted Ebay how do I read these information offered and how do I know which buyer bought the item and we cancelled the order and I was credited from EBay. EBAY first gave the resolution center link and searched by "item number". I found two credits and still didn't the credit on Nov. 28 from which buyer? Then Ebay just "be offline".

So I contacted EBAY again, this time I was talking about refunds but no credits.I took one return case for example, EBAY was "digging" it for me, then "I have take down all your concerns with the two items and we will manually credited your account with the final value fee with in 24 hours." Hey my another UK account had ""refunds no credits""either.


I both have UK and China accounts, I can't open the return case in my UK accounts , see what I mentioned above. Chinese accounts, same as regular. I still can open the return case for buyers and can get the final value fee from EBAY after refund.

Did you read your bill? Did you got the credits after refunds? I was thinking there must be something wrong on my refund process, but now seems EBAY tried to steal the money from me. If you don't read the bill, and don't contact EBAY, then you won't get the credits.

Mayward, I have done many returns recently and all fees were credited within 30 mins or so.

It doesnt suprise me that you are having issues. Its a new system and ebay are incapable of introducing new features without messing it up.

Its a good warning for others. Check ya bills ppl!

just smile, You still don't get it. He's not the only one having this problem. Your doing full refunds and your refunding your buyers their original shipping cost, yes you get you FVF's back.

Now how many of all those returns you did were partial refunds? Let me know if you got your partial FVF's back
