Stack 3 crates high, make a total of 3 or 4 stacks. Place the boards across the crates. Get your rotary tool and cut openings in the front faces of the crates so you can put goodies in there. Don't try stacking crates on their sides to avoid cutting holes. Crates on their side will bow out and slide around. Cheap and convenient. Not pretty though, unless you like minimalist art that is functional. | I got quite a few Milk crates myself both Square ones and Also the longer Rectangle size. I got them free from this corner store that had them laying around outside (Just Ignore the Propety of XYZ on the side or remove them with acetone or a good paint job). I use them to store my construction tools, one for each job like plumbing, electric, painting.....etc....If you want to do this then Cut a piece of Luan to place on the bottom of the crate to prevent your small stuff from falling out. When I need to do one job and not the other I would just go pick up that Milk crate and go. I'm like you "minimalist art that is functional"
My GF closet has couple crates in there as shelves as well. I'll take some waist down photos with the crates I have in the background when I get the chance and post them. This thread will probably be renamed to "Waist Down with Milk-Crates" Quote:

I wish I still have it to show you But I have moved and upgraded to a real desk.

GB, when viewing my posts, you should have developed a habit of facing 90 degrees away from the monitor and view it from the corner of your eye. You've no-one to blame but yourself, anymore.

I'm reasonably confident that you won't be seeing me in Playboy. America's most wanted or CNN or something, but not Playboy.
And Yoz, when did canibalism become your hobby? Nevermind. To each their own. One quick tip for you: I'm old and tough and not very tasty. Eat a better target. Quote:
