You would attempt to purchase a legitimate house only making $45k/year? Haha...wow this forum has more ignorant people than I thought.

Considering the mortgage is about 700-800 a month is easy doable for someone making 45k. Do a little research before you look dumb.

I live 15mins away from Disneyland, CA. Before the economy bust, I could only rent. It used to cost at least $600k for a 1300 sqft house in my neighborhood. Now, only reason I can get a small house, afford the monthly mortgage is because the loan is under someone who makes $200k/yr and also renting out the small side house.

Luckily I only buy stuffs which I need, not want. I try to save as much as I can. Think the only thing I spend on is the much-awaited long vacation home every 1.5-2 years.

well if your not an idoit its completly possible. Its almost a thousand a week mortgage aint gona be more than 2k(house under 230k) leaves you 2k for other expenses unless ur an idoit and have a huge lease on a car you couldt afford or have kids its possible.

Again, stop trying to impress yourself. You keep ignoring the point. Go back to your thread and please tell me a huge house for $700-$800/month? What is a huge house to you? Perhaps we have difference perceptions. I don't even live in a place nearly as nice as California and there certainly is no "huge" houses remotely close to that price where I live. Now if you want a cute little condo, your $700 might just make it...

Either way, I can see you won't even attempt to clarify yourself. If $45k is balling out of control for you, then have a happy life I suppose.

2100+ sq feet house and a 8000+ sq feet lot you can find those everywhere in sb/riverside county for about 800 a month. Just do research. Or would you like me to copy and paste you a few houses that are for sale at that price range?

I'll let you have the last word bubba.

Is 3500 sf a "hut" for you bubba?

25329 ASPEN GLEN Ave, Moreno Valley, CA 92551 | MLS# K12040305

Not small for a single guy with no baggage...and definately not a "hut" as you stated. Point made.

I'm in Anaheim. Used to live one block away from South Coast Plaza but too expensive after my roommate moved out to live with her bf. It was 2k a month for a 700 sq ft 1 br apt 3-4 years ago. They tried to raise $400 when the lease was up.

Well, the average income for a single/individual earner in New York is $45,000-$50,000(Age 25+)

How much does the typical American family make? This question is probably one of the most central in figuring out how we can go about fixing our current economic malaise. After all, we don’t hear many people saying in today’s world that they have too much money.

The median household income in the United States is $46,326. Here in California people have a hard time understanding that yes, 50 percent of our population live on $46,000 or less a year. Even today, all the elixirs and remedies being thrown around fail to focus on income and the big brother of income, solid employment. Dual earner households have a higher median income at $67,348.

So I'm guessing INDIVIDUAL/SINGLE earners in the US averages out to around $30,000?

As long as you AIM to be ABOVE the average number then you'll be successful and doing better than the average person!

But at the end of the day, it's not about how much money you make, it's about how you maintain it.

It's not what you make, it's what you spend. If you spend more than you make, you're going to go backwards financially. On the other hand, if you spend less than you earn, you're on the path to becoming wealthy.
