Ok, sorry GB gonna have to respond to this one. Plus I'm gonna go by playground rules and say that he started it with that totally uncalled for comment.
So according to you net worth is an indication of how funny someone is, so I guess Carlos Slim and Bill Gates are the greatest comics of all time lol. Besides that if you want to go technical here we go. I can't even believe I'm gonna do this but, it's 4am and I have nothing to do so.
Let's take a look at scores shall we? All taken from IMDB.
First let's look at there actual stand-up shows
Dave Chappelle:
Dave Chappelle: For What It's Worth (TV 2004) - IMDb For What it's Worth 8.3
Dave Chappelle: Killin' Them Softly (TV 2000) - IMDb Killin' Them Softly 8.7
Kevin James:
Kevin James: Sweat the Small Stuff (TV 2001) - IMDb Sweat the Small Stuff 8.0
Looks like Dave wins this category, oh by the way user submitted scores for Daves shows are over 2000 while Kevins user submits are 500.
Let's take a look at their tv shows now, you were pretty intent on mentioning King of Queens, Dave had a TV show too one he created:
Dave Chappelle:
Chappelle's Show (TV Series 2003–2006) - IMDb Chappelle's Show 8.8
Kevin James:
The King of Queens (TV Series 1998–2007) - IMDb King of Queens 7.6
Dave wins this as well.
Let's look at their latest comedy movies in which they were both writers and starred in:
Dave Chappelle:
Half Baked (1998) - IMDb Half Baked 6.4
Kevin James:
Zookeeper (2011) - IMDb Zookeeper 4.9 < --- lol
Oh and Half Baked had a budget of 8 million while Zookeeper had 80 million, in fact I would list all of Kevin James movies which by the way none scored over 6 and were at best mediocre besides Hitch. Half Baked also became a nationwide cult classic.
You see Dave isn't a sell out like so many other Hollywood celebrities so his net worth might be stunted. You know what, I'm going to go even further so let's take a look at some lists:
Comedy Central's 100 greatest stand-ups of all time:
Comedy Central's 100 Greatest Stand-Ups of all Time@Everything2.com Comedy Central 100 Greatest Standups of all Time | Listology
Now besides the fact that Dave is listed at 43 and Kevin is listed at 89, take a look at the user submitted comments below:

Y isn't
Dave Chappelle #1!!!!!!
Let's look at another list:
C&L's Top 100 Stand-up Comedians of All Time! | Crooks and Liars
Looks like Dave Chappelle is listed at 43 again and Mitch Hedberg at 55 while Kevin James is absent and not even mentioned at all. Dave and Mitch are again mentioned at least a dozen times. Shall we take a look at the comment section below? Probably no need, I think I've made my point, Dave Chappelle and Mitch Hedberg were comedians, great ones in fact. Not even gonna respond again to this thread you can rebuttal, I'll read it and probably laugh.
