I'm British as one can see from my flag, but do I live there now? Maybe, maybe not. I've lived in many different countries, usually targeting ones with low cost of living and hot women.
I left the UK and started working online and travelling in 2007 largely thanks to this forum.

| Always have been jealous of your international man of mystery image, tbh.
It's remarkably safe and uneventful where I live. Nothing ever happens.

I live in the south ,we are having some serious flooding problem now.
Many homeowners do not have flood insurance.

In SC we haven't even been getting enough rain to make the grass grow. I've been having to water my plants 3x every day to keep them from dying.
What part of the south are you in?

I am in Texas, everything is bigger in TX,I am about to get a water melon in the store now.
Being close to the Gulf of Mexico,we get more rain than other states, sometimes too much.
It can rain for day or days !
We also get large gulf shrimp, one of our local supermarkets has its own fleet and catch shrimp in the Gulf.
WHat we do not have is lobster/scallops,it does not exist in warm water !

As long as I'm working and bringing in foreign currency then I'm living a pretty comfortable life.
The UK is not unrecognisable compared to when I was growing up, I don't want to grow old there.

Remind me of Katrina, the governor of LA suggested residents to bring a hammer /axe to the attic ,some may not have such tool but one young guy said he just lied on the floor of the attic and kicked a hole in the ceiling.
Some drowned in the attic as water keeps rising, some were robbing stores in the street having fun wading in filthy water holding what they looted from the stores !
which part of TX is your grandparents house located?

What's cool for Europeans is all the old architecture, and the small size of the countries. You guys can travel through 4 different countries (each with their own language and unique history) in the time it takes to drive through like 3 American states. It's so empty in North America, comparatively.

You go to one country and it's McDonalds, KFC, Starbucks, Subway etc, then you go to the next country and it's the same.
Also the ease of travel makes it easier for uninvited guests to travel too | |

I dont think Americans will like living in Europe for too long, the streets are too narrow, buildings are too old, some may not have central A/C,free internet, nice lounge and lobby and food is pricier and portions are smaller.and gas price is too high.
And who has best beef steak in the world at a reasonable price?US,good old USA.
Hawaiians always said we dont worry being taken over by the mainland folks, they get tired and eventually they want to go back to the mainland.
Oh,do they have all you can eat buffet,by the hour, someone will be watching you !
