Try it. Former active poster Gladiator makes a good living with custom T-shirts, from what I've heard.

Just like anything else. If there's a will there's a way. You'll either have to create your own shirt designs or work around strict copyright laws though. But yeah there's a lot of money to be made if you know what your doing. There's tons of competition in that business though. Best of luck

I saw these EPSON DTG printers that seemed very pricey - what are better brands for cost vs quality?

I went to the OBEY Clothing Design/warehouse said they sell mostly white and black shirts & White T-shirt do not print best as Screen printing dose. And he said if DTG was good they would have machines here and said DTG is ****

Dtg is good quality. Nowhere near screen printing. But with screen printing you will have alot of stock it takes hours to print and everything else that's included. Dtg u just print off as you sell. But I believe you have to clean print head each day/time. IV seen t shirts on the bay for 6£ printed. 2£ for t shirt plus fees plus ink plus the 1500£ for the machine. You gonna have to print hundreds before you start to make any little profit and will the Epsom(which was not designed to print on t-shirts) last that long???? Prob not. IV thought of this and I think it's a loosing game.

Epson DTG (The newer F2100) is much better than the first gen. Talking from experience. Make sure you keep up with the maintenance as parts are quite expensive and you'll need an expert to change out parts like the head and other stuff.

DTG printers are good for small orders and customers who don't want the thick rubbery image on the shirts.
