AUD down !
 

So it seems australian dollar is going down down.
Most of my stock are purchased from over seas in usd. Seems like my profit will be go with it to next to nothing. Anyone else in this position :(

mining boom and lower demand growth for mined goods from china is a big factor.
also the fed

look at the canadian dollar its shed 10 11 cents as well

if interest rates rise it'll start increasing though thats not going to happen soon.watch for newzealand it might raise interest rates,its currency is somewhat likely to rise

100 AUD dollars only gave about 93.59 CDN...those dollars are getting rough exchange.

gold has been rising in recent days because of the ukraine crisis
but generally even if it falls the large miners like barrick ,kinross ,goldcorp these have significantly lower production cost per ounce.barrick is nearly $750 per ounce ,its the smaller miners that get hit the most and go for consolidation

for the Aus dol I am not sure if the short term outlook is good because it relies too much on chinese mining demand and with low chinese export data although it could be due to last year's distortion but might lead to a bit more fall in AUS
