I've heard of money laundering, but money drying?

Not uncommon at all for older people to stash cash. When my grandmother died, we went page by page through every book in the house, etc.

I would put the whole lot in the washing machine and boil it on a 90 degree wash.

It will all come out lovely and sparkling and ready for use.

I was just thinking about the best way to spend $45,000 and my conclusion is this:

1) Buy £44,970 worth of hard drugs

2) Buy a piece of high quality rope ($30)

3) Take the drugs

4) Rig up the rope and indulge in a long night of "Auto Erotic asphyxiation"

Best $45,000 I ever spent.

Safety warning. Be careful

Or buy a Range Rover, pay the downpayment with cash and each monthly payment with cash.

Then you would just be waisting your time looking in pipes. Be better just to stay at home and smoke a pipe.

Well at least i know now where all my luck went to...enjoy the cash! Just be smart with it...no banks, keep in safety deposit box, don't breath a word to anyone ..especially family (money only brings out the worst in loved ones...i have first hand experience after mom died and family went nuts over estate and now no one speaks to each other)..and keep purchases under IRS radar...and what the hell, it came to you free might as well give something back to those that really need help..women's shelter, sick children, etc..

enjoy!!

A large chunk was sent into get repaired and only just under $11,000 was saved? I would have taken my chances spending the money. Man I wish I could find a huge amount like that.

There's a reason people are ignoring you, its because nobody agrees with you.

He found money and he kept it. He found out who the OWNER was and he is dead. Therefore, the money has NO OWNER. I don't see anywhere on my money in my wallet where it says "In case of death of current owner, possession rights transfers to next of kin."

Nor do I believe this is in the law anywhere.

Tell you what, If I found $1,000,000 in cash somewhere, I'd keep it too. Granted I wouldn't go running my mouth, but I'd keep it in my safe instead of in some muddy old pipe.

Cool thread, wish I found a stash too :D
Whethere it is a true story or not, it is still super entertaining!

To the folks that reckon they'd hand the money in etc etc, as if! who are you kidding? :P

As for me, I'm dreaming of ways to double that money or just enjoy it. I think I'd enjoy it,on a tropical island somewhere... aaahhhhhhh
