Natwest and RBS closing banks?
 

I have had RBS and Natwest which are part of same group, close accounts under two different account holders.

Is anyone else having problems with these banks closing their accounts? Closure seem to come after I added new pp to new savers, maybe the direct debit thing triggered it.

usually you get closed if you open to many accounts at one given time.
Because they are the same banking group, opening 1 account at natwest and then 1 at rbs on the same day makes them both check your account history.
Opening more than 1 account at the same bank on the same day or week will do the same.

Opening to many savers and then closing them in a short period of time also raises flags as it costs the banks money to open these accounts and if you only use them for a short time they will not be happy.

Going onto there website and opening an account, but the page glitches and does not let you complete the 'account opening process' and then trying again, will also alert the bank to what you have done.
Doing this more than 2 times (with one bank or both banks) will cause a closure.
