At least we hit the high-end of your average-price Aspkin---today!
The sustaining volume was under $.14...but the breaking-resistance volume got us to hit and close at today's high; Consequently, a buy-signal on today's chart!
Now if we just don't screw-this-momentum up with bad-news, it could get good!
GLTUA! eom!

Holy!
I missed that while watching BAC all day...
The iPhone app for SIRI will be a big success, that's good stuff. I didn't think it would make the stock jump though..
Do you think it will hold?
I should have averaged a little lower while I could.. good stuff either way.. BAC down SIRI up.. lol

Oh wait nevermind... Quote:
Satellite radio fans, prepare for another brutal blow. The uSirius StarPlayr app for Apple's (Nasdaq: AAPL) iPhone, which has been in development since last year, apparently won't hit the market anytime soon.
| Still why the jump?

No-one really knows "why-the-jump"; 6-million shares were bought at the close to have us hit $.16 for the close; Yes, the Apple-Sirius-Iphone app. has been "non-approved", meaning it isn't out-right rejected, but delayed; Yet many satellite-radio fans received emails yesterday telling them to prepare for a big-announcement about a "3rd-way-to-hear-their-favorite-programming"; Some are saying Sirius-XM Radio will be available on other phones, including Verizon and Sprint; Verizon owns a millon+ shares of SDAR, btw.
But regardless of "why-the-jump", I just want to focus on the underlying fundamentals and the chart; We had one of the best chart-signals for the long-play, in quite a while---a longer-white-close-at-the-high candle. It's validity will be confirmed on Monday.
Still, imo, accumulation of a sizeable position of shares under $.15, would seem very prudent; Your pot isn't anything to sneeze at....10k shares was a lot in 2003, now 20k shares is somewhat sizeable, but if Malone takes us to 6-billion shares, you'll probably need 25K+ shares to really make-the-grade!
I was thinking about you yesterday watching BAC; At first it seemed to be separating itself from the more severe trouble of "C"; As time goes-on, BAC is even looking to fall-prey to the same concerns as "C"; Check-out today's Yahoo-Finance stories about BAC....
But, I think both stocks are a long-term hold; I think "C" is a steal below $1.50, even with semi-nationalization; We are in the worst financial melee since the Great-Depression...winners-and-sinners will be parsed, but such heavy-weights as BAC-and-C, will imo, survive, and overcome the government's hand!
GLTUA---we really need it! Even Buffet is hurting, relatively!

Nice post..
SIRI was a surprise, I'll probably take my profits with it and run if it jumps past my average. Knowing things it will probably come back down a little bit, even if it's temporary.
BAC is going to have a tough week coming, if you want to get into it look for the low 3s...
AIG and C are killing things right now.. Oh well. |

C might be a good buy since the Govt now owns 36% of them. Globally this recession is hurting everyone, Govt stake in C makes it look stronger. I am still pssst at BofA about those execs taking billions on bonuses, alot of my friends are boycotting BofA now.

I used to study day trading books like a religion but never had the 25K to open an account got as far as penny stocks, still got about a million shares at .0000001 per share. As soon as I get 25k from ebay and amazon it's going straight into daytrading, I'm gonna start out trading the opening gap with nasdaq level II screen, s&p 500 and dow indicators and a couple candle stick charts.

You don't necessarily need $25k to start, you can start with much less and just add 1k a month, waiting to have 25k saved up is what can really kill you, think of all the money you could have made in the meantime while you were saving.
I like a few stocks out of Ireland right now. I just got AIB and IRE, but I don't necessarily look for things that you can buy and sell same-day, more of the 7-10% or more return within 60 days strategy. ELN and HGSI were a few that just did really well for me in that same token.
... and yes I did play a lot of video games as a kid.

Right, I first opened a TD Ameritrade account with I think 5k starting. The minimum was I think 1k to open the account.

I like them very much. They have an iPhone app, so I'm able to trade stocks anytime with them.

I use ameritrade to but you can't make more than I think 1-2 daytrades per day, if I'm not mistaken, unless you have an actual daytrading account which requires 25k min. I'm also looking to start trading options which requires less startup but still day trading with the nasdaq level 2 screen is what I know best.

Yeah I know with 2k you can get a 2-1 margin account but your daytrades are limited, with 25k you get a 4-1 margin with unlimited daytrades and you've got 100k of buying power.

Both stocks went up around 10% today.
Where I live the AT&T service is spotty, so I have an HTC.

Has anyone played around with Mutual Funds. I know they are suppose to be little more safe than stocks, but is the return still good?
