Default Anyone stealth a 2co account?

Just curious if anyone has had any success setting up a stealth style 2co account?

I see no reason its not workable. But interested if anyone has tried successfully

I used them a few years back and it was an ok backup for website. Fees not great, but weekly payouts help if a backup is suddenly needed to accept cards. they don't seem very popular here, so there's another question too... Is there a common issue with them that makes them less the desirable?

Cheers

I had an account a few years ago I walked away from. They wouldn't let me fight a $600 chargeback that was a full on ripoff. I had proof of delivery, etc. But they wouldn't help at all. So in a huff I just left account. Maybe not the best way to deal with it, but i was pretty pissed off.

Do they have any verification measures in place that would prevent going stealth?

I dont really want to waste $50 if the security is too tight. Having one is not an absolute must, I was just thinking of it as a backup gateway.

What other merchant accounts do you have to pay to apply to?

Well, it may be refundable and not an application fee. It may just be the start up fee for the service and if you get declined its refunded. I don't know. I just didn't feel like jumping through a bunch of hoops if someone had tried and failed.

Some merchant accounts out there charge as much as $100 or more to setup.
