Are you using them?

And if so, how are your sales?

wookster 05-07-2009 10:28 AM

54056 users & 1,804,697 as of May 7th

TheyGotMeToo - Yes I use them and find it refreshing and wonderful! Loving the Ebay hiatus.

Jonas 05-07-2009 10:49 PM

How is bonanzle that different from ioffer? I have looked and they are very similar (no auctions, mr. grabber, etc.)

wookster 05-08-2009 12:20 AM

# 10. See one item, see 'em all. Your items are no longer rubber duckies lost in an ocean of items. On Bonanzle, if a buyer sees one of your items, they'll see up to 10 others prominently featured. Sellers sell faster, buyers find what they want more quickly.
# 9. Offers on your terms. Name your price on a custom-made group of items from a seller. Whee! and deal.
# 8. The price is right. Our presentation might be slick, but that doesn't mean you're getting fleeced. Bonanzle keeps overhead low by using open source technology and grassroots marketing, and we pass our savings on to you. Our average seller pays between 1/2 and 1/3 of what they're used to if they've sold elsewhere.
# 7. Importers. eBay and Craigslist item importers mean you can start Bonanzling in seconds.
# 6. Price guesser. Why spend five minutes logging onto eBay and item searching to figure out how to price your item, when you can have us tell you in five seconds?
# 5. Picture cropper. Why didn't anybody think of this before? Take few pictures, post many items.
# 4. The miraculous one page, one minute item post. Who knew that posting an item for sale could be done with five simple fields and no page loads?
# 3. Chat while shopping. Buying and selling is the destination, but we bet you'll have more fun on the journey than at the destination. Where else can you meet people who live nearby you with similar interests, and still buy and sell items faster than eBay?
# 2. Bonanza! The site is called "Bonanzle" for a reason! A Bonanza is a live garage sale that proves the universal truth that your stuff + lots of people = $ $ $ !
# 1. Find on "Everything but the Ordinary". We love Amazon, and we're not here to fight their dominance for buying generic items. So while you can still post an electronic or computer at Bonanzle, we've designed our experience specifically around buyers and sellers seeking non-generic items, like handbags, collectibles, rare books & magazines, clothing, jewelry, crafts, and more.

I signed on and started listing the other day. I was worried how long it would take me to post 100+ listings, but it's a breeze...Love the simplicity of it all!

54395 users & 1,813,033 items listed as of May 8th

Growing like wildfire!

Lyda...

I would appreciate any updates on how your sales go compared to eBay.

Lyda 05-08-2009 10:43 AM

Sure, I only listed 2 items the other because I had to attend to some other things, but was surprised how fast I can do this. I will do the rest today in few hours I hope. I will of course, le everyone know how it's going...

moomooj 05-09-2009 07:55 AM

I signed up and listed about 10 things yesterday, and got 2 inquiries and 2 offers. I think the traffic is great. And I browsed around and found some sellers that sell high end brand items priced over $2000. I am not too sure if it is a good place for vero items, because it seems that the buyers there are looking for authentic stuff unlike ioffer. I could be wrong.

Vicvelcro 05-09-2009 08:07 AM

moomooj,

If you are selling AUTHENTIC VeRO items, you have no worries. If you are trying to sell knock-offs, knock it off! If you don't stop, Bonanzle will stop you pretty fast.

Why do people still think the acronym VeRO has the same definition as the word phoney?

VeRO does not mean ⊗⊗⊗⊗, phoney, counterfeit, knock-off, imitation, faux, 'inspired by', or any other euphemism for crap goods. VeRO just means it has a brand name on it.

VeRO designates an item that is trademarked. Genuine goods that have a brand name are VeRO. Real Levi's are VeRO. Calvin Klein is VeRO.

Counterfeits are not VeRO. They are illegal.

I sell my authentic SAGA furs. I sell on ebay too, but the price is pathetic. Bonanzle seems to be better because people are more willing to spend. And I guess when they can name their own price, they feel better about buying too.

Vicvelcro 05-09-2009 08:22 AM

moomooj,

I think Bonanzle is a good home for you, then. Welcome. Glad you joined us over there.

Lyda 05-09-2009 08:38 AM

I hope Bonanzle will be perfect for me because I can list lot more of what I am selling than Ebay lets me with less than 100 + feedback. And my stuff is authentic, but expensive. I had sources for authentic stuff I could not utilize on Ebay because of this stupid "you can't list this item for another 30 days" thing unless I had 100+ accounts.

Vicvelcro 05-09-2009 08:46 AM

The more unusual or hard to find or rare and exclusive your items are, the better you are likely to do on Bonanzle.

Fox furs and carnival glass are peachy. Consumer electronics aren't really hot on Bonanzle. Vinyl records do well, but DVDs do not. CDs of artists that aren't main-stream move, but todays hits seems to just sit there.

I'm certain that main-stream goods will start moving faster and faster on Bonanzle, but the site is plugged as and has been advertised as 'everything but the usual', and I think they meant it.

55118 users & 1,815,667 listings as of May 10th !! Woohoo go Bonanzle :)

importracer150 05-10-2009 12:39 PM

bonanzle is ok, but I'm still making a killing on eBay 2k a day.

Lyda 05-10-2009 12:42 PM

Wonder what you are selling... some of us could do that too if not for stupid Ebay limitations.

I would be elated to make $2000. a month after expenses.

Maybe Soon Hopefully?

TMiles 05-10-2009 05:35 PM

wookster...I will try tomorrow. But my question is how are your sales?

Thinks and Happy Mothers Day!!!

TMiles 05-10-2009 05:37 PM

At 2k a day, you should be retired in less than 2 years. Are you saying you clear over 3/4 of a million dollars a year on Ebay?

importracer150 05-10-2009 05:58 PM

Yes I got 10 accounts running right now with over 2000 items.
I sell electronics and clothes.
