Big mercari problem
 

So mercari suspended my account and is now asking for id and selfie etc. Obviously its a stealth so I cant do any of it. There is $400 inside the account. The funny thing is that I didn't know I was suspended or couldn't withdraw until I added my bank. It then said, "YOUR ACCOUNT HAS BEEN SUSPENDED FOR ADDING AN UNSUPPORTED FINANCIAL PRODUCT". I messaged them and they said they were sending a message to the BILLING dept. Next day they say I need to verify account. I immediately open a BBB complaint. Has anyone ever managed to get the funds out after something like this? Or will Mercari just steal it forever? Thanks!

Merc and Posh are notorious for taking the money and run, especially if what you sold is ill/eg/al.

the buyer was happy and rated me. And its the only item i sold on there.

It does not matter. If you do not comply, the money is gone. They do not play games nor do they care. They operate far outside of the realm of AZ, PP, EB, etc. Don't waste time asking how or why. :violin:

Current opened a BBB case and they responded and I asked them if they are going to steal the money. I mean jesus christ even paypal will release after 180 days LOL unreal how they can legally get away with all this GOOD OLE LAND OF THE FVCKERY

They responded to your bbb much faster than I could get someone on the phone for days.
So what’s the update between you and them?

THey are much worse. Buyer opened a return, they auto approve it. THere's no chance for sellers to defend themselves.

All they got is if the buyer returns the item, you have 24 hours to prove they returned a different item.

I think that's it from what I've read in their policy

If buyer says item is defective? I don't think they do. I just got one of these and in less than a day it automatically sided with buyer and it asked me if I wanted buyer to return the item and I said yes

I hate to say this but, I think everyone should stop selling on Mercari......I alone will fight the good fight on Mercari for all of us!

Ok so nothing happened BBB did nothing, Mercari said they will hand over funds to unclaimed property what cvnts. and the reason this happened. THEY BLOCK PAYONEER BANK!!!!!!!!

I don't get it, you say that mercari takes your money, basically it's no good, but you still sell on it? what are the pros-cons for you?

i hate every platform equally, but i still need to make money somehow. so i still sell in every marketplace i can find.
