Questions for new seller on Mercari
 

I want to start selling on Mercari and have some questions to avoid a ban.

1. Can I use my real info(name, adddress, SSN#) that was used on an old suspended Ebay? (I have no idea if they share info)

2. Can I use Mercari safely on the same IP I use my current active Ebay account, but a different computer or phone?

Yes, to both questions. They don't care about your eBay account.

They seem to like personal seller versus businesses. I've not had any problems, but I know some people that got suspended because their tactics didn't match Mercari's "platform goals" or whatever.

I just want to sell stuff like clothing and small electronics like calculators and gaming stuff. Some shoes, hats, and accessories.

I’ve made some good money selling in Mercari over the past 8 months. I was recently banned for including a follow me on insta in my descriptions! No warning! I should have read all of the policies, so I take full responsibility, would’ve been nice to have gotten a warning! MAKE SURE YOU READ ALL POLICIES!

That's a lie ip doesnt matter .. however no vpns or proxies work that I've tried so far

I can confirm mercari might be as desperate as eBay to link accounts, probably a little more thoroughly as they have actual humans doing the investigating.

Mercari and eBay are not connected in any way. So yes you can use the same up, however mercari can and will connect accounts just like how eBay does.
