Just closed my ecrater shop with not one sale in a month and a half, while I got 60 sales through Bonanza for the same product feed.

Not worth the effort IMO.

Yea, the EC staff have really just let the place go to the wayside. Lots of complaints and yet they still claim nothing has changed yet most stores have lost a ton of traffic over the past 2 years.

They've held on to the site for a long time, but I feel one day soon it will either change hands or be closed down. You just can't operate a marketplace any more that just remains stagnate for years. Competition is insane now, especially with all the mobile apps. And those mobile marketplaces are always trying to introduce new features.

Good points @unknown5454 . I got on Wish and will be trying that this month. It was a huge hassle to map my woo xls to their system, but I am uploading now, so we'll see.

I had to give up on Wish a long time ago. Took months just to get products approved. I can't run a business like that.

Ecrater is not too bad, they do have high placement in Google Shopping. However the criteria for getting your products showing up in GS needs changed.

There is a requirement at the start you have to make a few sales through the Ecrater site and once feedback is left for first few orders then you have the option to upload your products to Google Shopping at different ad rates.

Bonanza is totally dead , bad search and Ebay sync issues, you have to pay through the nose to get your products shown up in Google Shopping as well
Lots of inventory and booth issues i found so gave up on Bonanza about 2 years ago.

correct. bonan is a money pit when it comes to advertising. 5+ years ago that was not the case. now you pay a fortune to just barely show up 3,4,5 pages back. and for whatever reason, i get a lot of rejected listings in google shopping using Bonan.

When I was selling in high volumes a couple years ago, Bonanza was my primary platform. Advertising seemed to work pretty well. Albeit I did pay a fair bit for advertising. It can be well worth it depending on your margins. I mainly used the 13% Advertising Tier (granted the 9% is probably usually sufficient) and occasionally added Turbo Packs.

eCrater is both a free web store builder and an online marketplace

There is no one at eCrater who tells sellers what their prices should be, no one pushing free shipping, and there truly is seller protection
eCrater explains that the commission fee (which only applies to sales it drives) do not include the cost of shipping, tax or for cancelled or unpaid orders – a big advantage over other marketplaces

Do you guys actually make money off eCrater? I always just viewed this as a weak platform like Bonanza. Also viewed platforms like Poshmark the same way and realized quickly that was flawed thinking.
