Mercari Holding Money indefinitely
 

Hi guys so on my Mercari stealth the other day they asked for my birthday and my social security number.
A course I do not have these details as its a stealth account. They say that if I do not upload this information they will hold my money indefinitely.
Could someone assist me in what would be my best option?

I haven't dealt with Mercari to provide experience but is there any way just to provide ID and bypass SSN request? Perhaps wait for other ppl to post their experience then

Leave this account and make a new one . Mercari is time waste they keep suspending accounts ASAP and you burn your bank accounts . Do not leave more than $100-200 in it

what items did you post??? It may be because of high priced or higher risk items that they do this with .

Or I think I could just change the account to my actual name and put my SS in their
it would get banned since my main is banned but I think they would release my money within 30 days

If you say your an immigrant they wont release your money. What you could do is go get an ein online on monday and then you can use it to upload on there

To get an ein I need a SS.
I don't have an SS since its a stealth account

You could get an itin number as a non resident . or theres ways to get it with no social at all but it will take a few months

Just gonna link it to my name and use my SSN and take the ban.
Cant believe Mercari will hold money indefinitely, Thought that was illegal.

Mercari uses overseas (Indian customer service),good luck talking to them !

I take it you have not uploaded a bank account to the account, yet. If you have added it, you can demand a release of funds if you provide a screenshot logged into your bank account. Claim you are a business owner. They'll holy the funds for 90 days.
