attention Etsy users!
 

Seems like Etsy adopted the same strategy that ebay did. They are tracking people with IP addresses and other methods. Seems like a trend in the industry.

I had an account on etsy that I opened in 2009, never sold anything had a couple of things there, and the account has been inactive since then. Paid all the fees and was current.
Recently I put a couple of things for sale...2 days later BAM..account suspended.

Does this remind you of ebay? lol of course it does!

I wrote them a nice email asking to reopen my account or give me an explanation why they closed it.

Oh and by the way...many people have the same peroblem on etsy, according to my google searches.

I think there needs to be a system in place on all sites to prevent dormant accounts from being abused, but they should certainly at least answer you and resolve it. I can see their security concerns, but not responding cannot be excused.
