Default Are there any other venues other than EB & Amazon?

I havn't tried for a while because I got ripped off by a totally ⊗⊗⊗⊗ site in North Miami after I googled mapped their contact address to an apt. bldg in a project. Sorry can't remember the names but came up soon when I google OL auctions. Great looking site BTW. JUst had totally ⊗⊗⊗⊗ stats. Anyway, I am not looking to sell lots of stuff I just need to pay for my medicine. About 10-20 items, $1-2k. My stuff sells for about $100 each. Seriously anyone know of anything decent? I sell quality items. I keep getting busted for making mistakes about linking not what I sell or limits, bad service or anything like that. My customers thanked me continuously.
The complete step-by-step guide to get back to selling today!

Try eCrater? eBid? Etsy? Craigslist?

Default ebid.net, seriously, are you kidding?

I guess I should have said selling venues.

On another note eBid is the one that scammed me. Just horrible. Charged me almost $20 in fees for just 4 or 5 listings for a week or so. Can't remember exactly but I didn't get any views or bids. I listed one night and after charging me the listings were gone the next morning. I had to do all the work of listing again and they charged me again. Got no refund and they had no explanation. There are no buyers there.

Google eBid and read the horrible reviews. I would have hoped to get good referrals on this forum. That disturbs me greatly.

Should have said eBid from the get go.

Anyhow - why not consider your own website then? and promote it.

Less than 12 hours to your post...no one has replied yet - you need to give more time for this forum.

Great ideas dont necessarily come in HOURS...you must be patient.

OP can also open up his own website.

Referrals or replies?

There's a difference. Replies do not come automatically. Some users may have nothing to contribute so they pass on the thread. (Saves having to read junk).

I use other venues. Do you have any hobbies ( or passions) that you could bring over to selling? I like to try to know a bit about a user's background before giving advice.

PS, I moved your thread to OTHER AUCTION sites.

You may yet have to discover this part of the forum. We've had some great chats about using other sites.
Part of this is getting your confidence up. Then you get going with selling.

Thank you Greenbean that's good stuff. What would you like to know? My passion is helping less fortunate people. 3 days a week I volunteer at a homeless society that helps people come out of homelessness. I am disabled and in a wheelchair & 65 YO. My background is customer service & tech support for graphic arts. I also did marketing and advertising. Selling my wares is not difficult at all. I sell everything I am willing to invest in every month. eb is!

The only issue you are going to have is you posted that your supplier is out of Miami Fla, you really have to be careful because a lot of phakes come out of that area.

And with your name being shoes I am guessing you buy and sell shoes.

If they are phakes you wont get away with them on any of these venues on a new account.

If they are legit they are not allowed to be sold on etsy and a few others.

Without knowing the product type we cannot steer you correctly.

But do not post the exact item you are selling but give us a vague idea of the category and if they are legit or phake items.

Why dont you just do flea markets? There are huge ones in FLA and they`re open year round. I remember going to one south of Boca near Butterfly world.

Why didn't everybody on here think of that? We could put eBay out of business. Good grief man, there is a reason, very different for everyone I am sure that we use eb. I would if I was selling stove burner rings or Chinese tools that cost $.39. NOT legit designer items for well over $100 each. Prolly get banned for posting this huh?

I dont think the OP is in Florida.

??

Besides the real good selling season in Florida has come and gone. Snowbirds are heading back north and flea markets slow down now until Sept.

I don't like the vagueness of this discussion and the mention of "$100 designer items", which seems awfully low priced, but eCrater.com will be your best bet at this point. Create store, place itmes in Google using attributes and the rest is extremely simple.

I will warn you though, whatever you are doing, many of these alternative sites are much more advanced than they appear. They can easily link you the same ways EB, AZ, PP and GC do. Also, if your items are branded, they will all be asking for invoices at some point. So, be ready to back up your legitimacy...

OP is buying items out of Miami. Headquarters of tons of vero and phake items.

Not saying he is selling them but Miami is where most vendors on the streets of NYC get their phake stuff.

Warning to the OP just in case you are selling phakes. In Florida a man was arrested this past winter at the flea market for selling phake handbags. When the showed up to his house after getting a court order they found 250k worth of hand bags, watches, etc.

He is gone for 5 years min.

To the OP, lets cut to the chase so we can help you better.

Are you selling phakes? or not?

I didn't understand the reference to Miami in the beginning. All I could make out from the jumble was a "site" which was then later referred to as eB.id.

Like I said...the vagueness in here is suspect.

Default Op ?

I guess I am the OP? I don't know what that is. I already said without names where and what I sell. My stuff comes from LA. Oh my, somebodies gonna say lots of CHinese and ⊗⊗⊗⊗ stuff. Also lots of MFG's too.

And to whoever said I don't live in FL. I was born and raised in SFLA and I live in ft. Laud. in an area called Riverside which is almost downtown.

I don't know why I am being treated like this. I stumbled onto here while googling "I hate ebay" or something close case I know somebodies gonna say oh that can't happen. But ok I thought I was scared before I got here but now if I open new account I won't sleep a wink. I did learn a lot so thanks. Especially to GB.

BTW, I bought the Stealth Book almost immediately and then was accused of not buying it rather than tell me how to log it. Just didn't know. Nice welcome?

I also didn't know about this paragraph stuff. Thank you to whoever told me.

Clearing the air to allow us to move forwards.

OP (joeshooze) joined the forum after issues with different accounts for different reasons.

It's a new world for him. Lots of jargon to learn. Lots of things needed to shown to give him a chance to move forwards with his ebay issues. Takes time.

Ya'll were new once. Keep that in mind.

Default Re: Are there any other venues other than EB & Amazon?

I would say the only way someone would want to do away with EBay and Amazon is because they are selling phakes.

If that is not the case then there is no reason for not being successful on eBay/Amazon, there is tonnes of info on this forum about beating them at their annoying games.

You could also say "ebay's not what it was" maybe not, but it doesn't mean you cannot make good cash, you just need to be smarter. There are other websites out there that you could just about scrape a living from, but there's nothing like "instant payment" or "sold, ship now" emails for me,.

Eb and amz global reach is huge. If selling phakes is a stress then try being less greedy perhaps and selling legit stuff

^^^ Just help the mods out by reporting the posts. It does seem to be more prevalent lately, hence the more experienced of us are quick to come to a conclusion when posters cannot clearly explain themselves or blatantly just ignore questions altogether.

Just like EB and AZ, the more crap that gets posted about il.le.gal products, the more aggressive and stern we will be in how we respond. The first response should always be to help, but if within the few first posts you cannot explain yourself and stories start going in circles, then your time is up...

"Help the mods out by reporting..."

The Mods already know because they are responding to the OP.

I'm just saying, "if there are that many threads here why not start a seperate section for this type of selling?"

That is just a ridiculous suggestion. No one here supports anyone selling anything ⊗⊗⊗⊗. There will always be people taking advantage of a system that helps legit people get back on track. That doesnt mean you support or encourage the behavior

There is a correct way to do anything on this forum.

Repeated posts by you Roscoe, demanding we have a separate section to enable the selling of phakes is NEVER going to happen.

By now you should have noticed little to no response to the stupidity of your repeated suggestions.
Here's the message. (Subliminal or not)

aspkin decides ALL forum content.

aspkin is HAPPY with the status quo.

RESPECT that.

Stop demanding otherwise. You are doing yourself no favors.
