 General Non-Paypal Payment Question
Hi, everyone about 4-5 years ago I used to sell a lot on eBay, mainly very VERO things and it went very good, then not so good. Anyways, during that time I remember I had one limited paypal so I decided to use auction checkout and some other paypal alternatives on eBay. I remember it being such a pain in the ass that I gave up on eBay selling almost entirely, I remember every dumb ass customer could not understand how to use anything but paypal and about 50% or more of people never paid, that summer I made very little ebay money. I moved on successfully to run my own websites since I have a background in such things anyways.
Nowadays the economy is in the toilet and I am in a perfect position here in Turkey to sell dirt cheap but high quality...hrmmm VERO items, but I am sure I will encounter more paypal problems. So my question after this rant is does anyone actually have decent success with non-paypal payment methods on ebay? For example if you accepted paypal and all was good, then you switched to paymate or whatever did your sales fall by how much? 50% 80% 99%?? I am just curious.
