CCNow in eBay Listing

Hey guys,

I am planning on using CCNow as my main payment processor but I have a few questions for anyone willing to answer.

1) When using CCNow on eBay, do you state in your auctions that you accept CCNow? If not, why?

The reason I ask this question is this:
I recently spoke to 2 separate eBay live help reps and they told me that CCNow is an acceptable form of receiving payments on eBay. They don't recommend it due to the fact that if there's a claim against the sale, they can't view the payment information (?), but CCNow is accepted.

2) If you don't state the use of CCNow in your auctions, how do the buyers react to you sending them a CCNow invoice, rather than a PayPal invoice?

3) Do you use a real PayPal account in your eBay settings or a ⊗⊗⊗⊗ PayPal account, when using CCNow?

4) Does the CCNow account need to be set-up with eBay as you would a real Merchant Account? By that I mean sending eBay the forms that they request?

Thanks in advance!

Its all over the forum that ccnow is heavily frowned upon by ebay and is NOT an accepted payment method....Egay gets stupider by the second

CCNow

Hi. I just got the permanent heave-ho from PayPal. It happened in just one day - after I did nothing wrong or illegal. So I am done with PayPal - for one account anyway.

I put this line in my listings on Ebay:

Payment:
We utilize CCNow as our payment gateway. With CCNow, you may pay using a credit card, or your PayPal account. Upon auction close, you will receive an invoice from xxxxxxx. If you have any questions, please contact us before bidding.

Any thoughts or suggestions about the wording?

Also, do you know if this Ebay account will be shut down since I no longer have a PayPal account associated with it?

Thanks!

Wording is great! Ebay will love it! :D If you really did what you say you did...all you need to do is wait and see how long will the account last...:pop2:

Lyda,

I am assuming that you are being cynical about what I put in my listing?? Since I've never been banned from PayPal, I really don't know what to do.

Can I open a new PayPal and link it to my existing Ebay Account? Or will that get my Ebay account (that I've had for 11 years) shut down too?

I think you will get shut down, so don't risk it. You may want to start reading the Stealth book and than open some new accounts. In the meantime you can also look into list of Ebay approved merchant accounts and than add this to your old Ebay.

Damn! 11 years...treat that sucker like a baby...or try and sell it and buy the Stealth Book.

Those puppies go for around 120+ usd around here.

Hi!

Read the stealth book and go thru the forums---> there is A WAY to word CCN0W in the auctions in ebay...DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT DO it the way u plan to...

regards

Ok, welcome to the forums first of all.

Secondly, you CANNOT use CCNow stated in your auctions unless you have a registered merchant account with eBay. I think that's what the reps have forgotten to tell you - and you will need ALL your business paperwork in order...or a pre-07 account.

You can invoice customers after the sale with some success and use the forum search to find out how other peeps have been successful with CCNow.

Yes, you can make new paypal to keep using eBay. Is this recommended? No - why? Because from my own experience doing this over and over for one account, you will NEVER be able to get your money WITHOUT waiting 180 days. So if you can live with your money ALWAYS in hold with paypal, then no problem. Otherwise set up a PP - search the forum for CCNow strats and cajole your buyers into using CCNow.

All the best.

Thanks everybody!!! I will re-read Stealth and browse the forums and see what I can figure out. I didn't put the CCNow wording in my auctions, but I'm finding that people are reluctant to pay that way.

Sorry to start an old thread again. I actually started this thread and kind of forgot about it.

Just wanted to give you guys some info on what I have been doing...

Yes, 2 separate e B ay reps told me that I can use CCNow to accept payments... they just don't "recommend" it. LOL. I have these conversations saved on my computer.

I have been stating in my listings that I accept CCNow as the payment method, and it has been working great for me so far! -knock-on-wood-

If anyone wants any more info on this please feel free to pm me, as I don't want to give away much info in this thread. The less e Ba y knows, the better!
