I'm surprised no one has mentioned Amazon payments. It came out months ago. They're just like google checkout all the way down to the sign up except they don't require ssn for business accts, have slightly lower fees and you can't email buyers invoices thru their site though. They only let you create widgets (payment buttons) but you can put these in email or in your actual auction. Unfortunately they've also copied Paypal's dispute resolution program but with a few more restrictions for buyers. I have no idea if they conduct it like paypal. If anyone wants to work with me to test the program to see how it works let me know.
GOOD post, Ballsack!
I, too, use Amazon, but I had no idea, they had a stand alone pyt system..
I am used to the Sold, Ship Now! Emails, and then Transfer funds now..
So, Kudos!!

Ok I verified my account and it appears you have a $2000 month receiving limit on business accounts. A little confusing but if this somehow means my account will likely not get frozen then I'm fine with it. You can apply for the "Ultra" account as well. Anyways I can always open one or two more business accounts here and "chain" them if I exceed my monthly limit. If I combine this with two more accounts on google checkout with their $500 limit and it'll be more than enough for me if by luck I should exceed my limit on amazon. I'm still a little confused why email invoices aren't allowed.
Interesting I didn't check to see what other countries were accepted. I'm sure they'll be available in canada very soon. There's no reason why they would just limit it to the US. Anyway I just tried to make a small withdrawal couple of days ago and it failed. lol. My account wasn't frozen though. I just got an email saying they needed proof it was shipped. *sigh* I'm worn out from all of this.
FYI, I email Amazon about Amazon Payments. Their answer is "At this point
we only accept US Banks and US addresses. We do plan to change and offer these services later to other countries."
If and when I get more info, I will advise the forum.
You can send email invoices, you just need to click (on payments.amazon.com) send money -> Request money
Then enter the email of the buyer and that's it. I haven't done this yet but I'm hoping that when my next eBay auction ends, the buyer won't mind bc I'm not trying to get $800 from selling a laptop stuck in PayPal...
So Amazon has there own payment processing system? Do they have payment holds or special holds for new members? May be time for me to buy the Amazon book and start selling on Amazon if there's no holds.
i would like to look mre into this, I think having a store with amazon payment widgets may be a good idea. I got an email from Ebay with Prostores. What do you think of Prostores? they have a 1 month free trial and it's 29.99 a month
