Merchant account UK
 

I need a merchant account where I can take telephone orders. Average sale price is between £300 and £800. Orders are all UK.

Anyone have any advice please?

Couple of options that I manage to use even from Australia ( thanks to skype)


eg, RBS introduced us to Worldpay (Online Payment & Credit Card Processing | WorldPay)

Sage pay (Sage Pay Payment Gateway: Simple, Secure, Fast Online Payments)

The latter may be of more use. It has the magickal no set up fees on a £20 a month pay as you go plan.

(Could throw in NOCHEX but.... ;))

What we did, was look at what our competitors used as merchant services. Along with paypal, the above 2 worked for our requirements. :)

SAY NO TO NOCHEX

Exactly, idiots this company is! do not use NOCHEX, they will close you down for stupidity, all your hard work implimenting them or paying someone to do it.

1 , thats right, 1 , my first and only transaction didnt go through, buyer got his money back as i didnt even now the transaction had gone through and they closed my account.

My site at the time had no seo work at all, had no google listing at all, so though no one would find my site.

transaction went through , buyer sent them non receipt , got refund, and next thing they closed me down.

Spoke with my account manager , said i was closed down, and had no reply back since, NOCHEX can do one.

Having assessed your site, we are not comfortable with a number of items you are selling and as a result, have taken the decision not to reopen your account.
