Default Google Checkout requires social security SS# number ?

Signing up for GC and having a hard time finding if I need to use my ebay account name or my real name with GC. I see they might as for SS so if you give them your ebay name you wont match if that happens.
Suggestions please?

For Google you can use your real info. But you will have a $500 payout limit until you add your ssn.

Thanks. I will give them the SS without any problem, 500.00 limit has to be lifted because I will run anywhere between 10 and 20k per month through.

What is the limit once you give them the SS?

I understand that GC doesnt pass info to ebay but wanted to double check with someone before I sign up.

I am going to use modees cart manager and GC to see if I can get away from suckerpay as much as possible.

I used CCnow and have had 2 out of 270 pay me with it. Have to find something else.

Appreciate your input! Thank you

Lol @ your ratio. You can ask others about useing GC for success stories. The limit is removed completely once your ssn is added however, its been stated that GC verifying accounts before payouts recently. You can still give it a try each case is differnt.

Paypal totally screwed me over; I have a balance of $2k that they are saying I have to pay because some idiot from Israel stole an item from me after saying he didn't authorize payment from his credit card. So after I send the item out to him he pulls this and they say there is nothing they can do because he is out of the country.
So.... Google Checkout here I come...!
I've been using GC now for over two months and no problems with it yet..
In fact they are great; they take about two days longer to transfer the money into my account but it's exactly half the amount in fees than Paypal, and a hell of a lot better than paying the stupid balance that Paypal is claiming I owe them!

What do they do to verify the account, I am sure they cannot see the ebay info correct? Just the user name?

They have absolutely nothing to do with Ebay, that's just Paypal that is connected with ebay because it's the same company now.
GC is totally independent and in my book they are the next big thing coming. Paypal is screwing themselves out of business just like ebay.

To avoid the verification stage as much as possible, when signing up i would recommend you sign up with a Debit or Major credit card opose to a gift card. This will prevent any initial red flags come time for your payouts.

Yes, but the whole point of using a gift card is because we have to go through so many accounts so often.
How can you use a real credit card or debit card and use a bogus name as easily as you can with a gift card?? Ya can't.
The only way to use an actual credit or debit card is if you use your real info, SS #, the whole nine yards.

Hi Guys,

I have a question, when the auction ends, do you quickly send out an invoice directly to the winner from GoogleCheckout for the eBay auction and HOPE they will pay this way?

or do you give the email the winner, giving them the option of paying via GayPal or GoogleCheckout?

Thanks

Fab that only applies if you only plan on selling $500 worth of items a month through GC.

ebay-sucks

For Google, there is no need to give them your ebay user name, they don't even ask for it.
Google does ask you for a business name or something like that, what I did was give them my eCrater store name and URL in case they want to check up on me.

I never gave Google my eBay user ID because there is no need. And when I send out my GC invoices, I never reference the eBay item, I just type in a description of the items I sold on eBay, which happen to be the same items in my eCrater store.

Hope this helps.

Thanks

What if I don't have SSN and just enter "000000000" or "000000001" into SSN field?
