I do. Good news. Nice to know that my 8th or 9th string backup is still in business. |

That's all I use usually. So I love it.
Anything that works for any of us legally is a win. Regardless of first, second, or 8th string. Lol lol

It's true. I wouldn't start celebrating yet though... they say it's a non-US buyer so who knows what kind of new rules they might implement. Tentatively good news though.

Snorrason Holdings to acquire CCNow
Snorrason Holdings (snorrason.com), a privately-held e-commerce service provider based in Iceland, has announced its plans to acquire CCNow.
The staff at CCNow and Snorrason are excited about this opportunity and are working hard on this transition. As a result of these efforts, we expect that most CCNow services will be continued after December 31st, 2012, and that your product catalogs and account settings will continue as normal without need for an update. We anticipate that the acquisition will close before the end of the year and will provide more details as they become available.
Thank you for your patience!

As you know, CCNow is currently preparing its transition to a new parent company,
Snorrason Holdings. This will become effective January 1st, 2013. We are excited
to be able to continue serving you, and hope that we can bring you many new
features as the CCNow platform expands.
Over the next several days, there were will be some temporary changes to CCNow as
we prepare to migrate our systems. Most of these changes will only be in effect a
couple of days.
Here are 5 items which will start this weekend.
1. CCNow will be marking all open pending orders in the system shipped automatically
beginning on Sunday 12/30/2012 at approximately 6am CST. This process will continue
until 6pm CST so there are no pending orders left. This is to facilitate a transfer
of our banking systems. An email with details will be sent to you for each order
that was automatically marked shipped with a notation. If you need to cancel one of
these orders, you must issue a refund. We will credit back the refund commission to
you on these orders if cancelled within a week, just contact us. We suggest
downloading your current pending order list if you have current pending orders
(a .txt file is provided in your account under Sales/Bulk Update).
2. We will be temporarily suspending Discover, AmEx, PayPal, Diners Club, & JCB
payment types as of 12/29/2012 at 5pm CST. These payment types are expected to
return shortly after the transition finalizes on Jan. 1.
3. New orders will be processed up until 5pm CST on Saturday evening (12/29/2012)
for inclusion in December's account statements. Orders placed between Saturday
evening and January 1 will be held for processing until Jan. 1, at which time
you will start receiving pending orders again.
4. The normally scheduled Jan. 1st payment will be sent a day earlier on December 31.
This is to ensure a smooth payment as the banking systems are migrated, and also
because Jan. 1st is a banking holiday in the United States and we wish to prevent
any payment delays.
5. Several currencies will be unavailable beginning 5pm CST on 12/29/2012. Any
products set in these base currencies will need to have their base currency changed,
or else the customer will receive an error message in the shopping cart. The
unavailable currencies are INR, JPY, SEK, NOK, DKK, HKD, and ZAR. If you currently
have products set in these currencies, we will be sending you a separate email
with instructions.
The team at CCNow is very excited for the future, and we have appreciated your
patience. Happy New Year from all the staff at CCNow and Snorrason!
Thank you!
Regards,
-Matt Lind

* Shopping cart Experts - CCNow Prohibited Products Regarding auctions in general, if the reason for a suspension on eBay - or one of the other auction sites - is that the person was ripping people off, or selling counterfeit AKA replica items, unauthorized copies of a copyrighted work, or other action resulting in serious VeRO (Verified Rights Owner) takedowns** then CCNow or the other Snorrason divisions want nothing to do with you. No change there.
Regarding CCNow seller websites (Clients) and their terms as an online seller, during Q1 2013 there will be a reduction in the percentage and per sale fee for many existing CCNow sellers. Some will have a rolling reserve held for 90 days instituted.
(These and other changes such as more frequent settlements, will mean comparable terms and conditions to CCNow competitors such as 2Checkout, but with a lower rate per transaction for most CCNow sellers.)
The CCNow Team will continue to push out updates, and individual emails regarding the specific circumstances of individual CCNow sellers, over the coming days and weeks.
Please continue to communicate with them directly.
Regards,
- Thorsten for Snorrason Holdings
**VeRO takedowns received based on groundless threats, or because of false positives, are of course a different matter.

^^ Lol! I was just thinking the same, you know paypal personel watch these forums like hawks.
From experience everytime a company is acquired is chaos for users that been there.
, but CCNOW as a whole, it's platform wasn't that awful like PP per se, it's disbursements schedules were terrible and fees worst, but better than dealing with pp like GreenBean said.

This maybe a stupid question, but...
So, they are back up again?
I am on the phone with someone representing CCNow, right now. Some guy from likely another country, with a company called "digital river" which answers the phone for CCNow.
Is this new company, Snorrason Holdings, any good?
Are they running it now like paypal or is it like the old CCNow?
Do not need the Thor hammer coming down on a newly created account, pardon the pun.
I am so sick of Paypal, Google Checkout, etc that I am looking for a "decent" payment processor.
Its been probably 4 hours of research and so far I have like 6 out of 8 crossed off on my list as "hellish nightmare" and 2 that are iffy, and this CCNow as probably the best on the list (with a questionable Dwolla as #2).
Let me know..

CCNow has only been accepting Visa/Mastercard payments yesterday and now the shopping cart is offline completely. What gives?

I used to use them a few years back but became a total pain so I stopped using them.
I know many of you use them a lot so if they stay up and running have they changed over the past year or so.
Slow deposits, deposits not showing for days etc.
