Smallest amount withdrawn with that message so far for me was $125 yesterday. All deposits hit the bank but at least from what Ive seen its a further delay. Only detail I can add is the paypal is under 90 days old still with 21 day hold.

I just did another transfer yesterday ($1100) and saw this message, it's taking a little longer than usual, but I have no reason to suspect a problem. Transfer delays are nothing new.

^ do you routinely leave that much in there? I try to empty as much of it as frequently as I can

Back to the point of the thread, I've gotten the notification for as little at 10 bucks. I dont think its the amount, it's probably correlated to something but maybe they pushed some new code that is a bit ultra-sensitive at the moment

As a matter of practice, I always leave enough in acct just in case there are returns, and also to pay fees/portage, etc. I also don't w/d the money right after a sale, usually leaving it sit for a day or two before doing so. In PP's eyes, moving money too fast can increase level of risk.

Is it in process ?. If yes then you have to wait 2 or 3 days

FWIW I usually wait til at least $1k to withdraw. I've had bank accounts closed before and I'd rather not raise red flags by having daily deposits of $50 coming in from some random name(s). Nothing dangerous about leaving a little in Paypal if you don't have a track record of getting money locked up in limited Paypal's.

Exactly, I think it's actually a good thing to leave at least 1-2X the average sale amount in PP at all times. I believe it being less attention to the account in the long run.

FWIW, going back to the original topic of this thread, the $1100 w/d took at extra day to complete after seeing the "Your transfer is delayed" message. Normally it takes 2 business days, this time it was completed by the morning of day 3.

Here are my relevant details if anyone cares:

Both accounts 1.5yrs old
One transfer of ~$750, the other ~$600

Got the message last Tuesday or Wednesday. Like Nick said the transfer took a day longer than usual so it may or may not have actually been manually reviewed. Both accounts have withdrawn since without getting that notice. I've also withdrawn similar amounts from several other accounts since then without getting that notice.

5+ year old account, never suspended.

same type of transfers all the time. just started getting this new message last week.

doesn't matter the amount, transfers go through as usual.

there is no way it's being manually reviewed each time. this message seems to have replaced the "Usually takes 1 business day, may be delayed to be reviewed" message I used to get after every transfer.

it appears to be a new generic message after the transfer alerting you to possible delays.

I myself just started experiencing this.

I tried transferring just $10 to my bank and I got the "Your transfer is delayed" message.

Just before attempting to transfer, I had just sold something on eBay. I'm assuming having an eBay payment on hold is part of the problem (at least for me.)

Two days later the $10 did change from pending to completed. I still get the delayed message for new transfers though.

I just did another transfer this evening around 9pm Pacific Time and got the same message again.

The yellow exclamation point along with the "Your transfer is delayed" seems like there is a problem, but my last transfers completed without further incident. Just took an extra day longer than usual.

I suspect PP must have tweaked their security a bit and these transfers are just being subjeted to some type of automated review. I doubt it's manual given the sheer number of w/d requests in any given day. No way possible PP has the resources to review every request.

My transfers did go through however they are taking longer. The last one took 3 business days. This current one was sent first of the week and 3 days later still not there. I usually leave a little but not much in there. I just started paying the PP invoice manually last month and it seemed to happen right before the seller performance evaluation. Perhaps there's a correlation there?

Unfortunately that's not the case. I got the message we're all talking about one time one two accounts and have withdrawal several times since on both accounts without seeing it again.

Yeah. Happened around the 15th. Noticed money came in normally and got the normal email saying processing transfer. My account is coming up around 15k of transactions and its about 6 months old. Glad to know its not just my account and that I didnt trigger something. Seems to be going around like the flu

This message seems to pop up on my PayPal accounts that are linked to, or funds received from eBay when I attempt to w/d it.

I do not get this message on my stand alone PayPal's NOT linked in any way to an eBay.

I suspect it has something to do with eBay.

Same was happening to me. Only i got the 72hr instead of 24hr. Not sure why. My guess was because i made a lot of transfers per day. (I'd much rather make 2 150$ transfers than 1 300$)

Anyway it was happening to me with every transfer, and took about 1 additional day for transfer to be completed. Last night it stopped all of a sudden and transfers are made within 2 hrs. Weird. Hopefully its gone for good.
