It's a Sunday so you won't be receiving any money today unless you originally paid with your Paypal balance. Banks are closed.

Did they give you an exact time? Like, "the seller will send your refund at 10:37AM on 5/12/19"? Never seen anything like that before.
they said they would revert back to me that time, thought it was going to be a refund. it was the time given to the seller to respond which he failed to.

I just want to be sure how long it will takes for me to get a refund.

okay.
thanks for clarifying that.
from the first day I opened the dispute, the estimated time is June 7th but now that there wasn't a response from the seller, I want to believe it won't take that long for me to get my refund?

dispute hasn't close yet. we're waiting for the seller's response. we'll get back to you soon. no date was given unlike when I opened the dispute that they said they're going to get back to me on the 12.

do I need to panic or just wait for like 48hrs?

ok,so case is still open and past deadline for seller to respond,so now it is up to paypal what to do,if you cant escalate it,then you just have to wait.
or call Paypal and see if they will close it for you and issue a refund.
is the seller still selling, why not shoot him a question?
when Paypal gets around to refund you,if you use a credit card,it will go back to your card,it could take 2 days to show up,just you know

is it a physical item?
is it from Ebay ?
what is the nature of the dispute?
would you have to return the item with tracking?
how much is involved?

it is always betterto pay with a credit card, then you can file chargeback with your cc issuer,
the minute Paypal is notified of such chargeback, your case is closed and a chargeback case is now open.
Paypal will notify seller and ask him to present his side of the story.
In a chargeback, your cc issuer decides the outcome,if you win,you may not even have to return the item and the seller will pay $20 chargeback fee.

Dont panic. It takes an actual person to review a dispute. They will close it tomorrow. Their time spans are different than their own site system timeframe.

if not by tomorrow night, shoot them an email to bump their bums

Don't panic - also factor in the slowness of the weekend
