Shopify link to paypal contingency
 

I'm making a contingency plan for my shopify store.

I can make a new business paypal account with new IP, EIN, address, phone etc...

However there's one point of information that's bothering me which is the store domain.

Does paypal system get access to:

1. your myshopify.com domain

or

2. All the domains that are linked to your myshopify.com domain



The first one is much easier to deal with, you just need to create a new myshopify.com account and migrate everything there.

However the second one makes things harder, since you have to buy new domains, and my domain is already pretty valuable.

Just found out that if you go to this link (WARNING PAYPAL LINK):https://business.paypal.com/merchant...opper-insights

They show the data of all the domains that you linked to your paypal account, therefore they know the main domain that you're using with shopify (I'm using the same paypal account for 2 shopify stores, it's the same brand but one is for the US the other for UK)


I'm still not sure if they get access to the myshopifystore.com domain, but it's really similar to my domains so it doesn't make much difference.


I'm pretty astonished that they haven't closed my account though.

Congrats on your account survival so far though.

Make sure to write something like "Warning paypal link" before posting these kind of links please
