Activity: 0% Longevity: 72% | | Tracphone Question
I run several active stealth accounts (around 30) and am always creating new accounts to groom and prepare to enter in rotation and become sellers.
In the past I have used free phone services (never google voice) and enjoyed a lot of success until recently. I have still been able to get 5/500 accounts but have heard a lot of people say on here that pre-paid phones are the way to go. However, my problem is that I have so many accounts that I need several numbers (at least during the registration phase)
So what is the deal with the tracphone/prepaid phones? Can you change your number for free (thus getting new numbers when you need them) If anybody can shed any light on this subject I would really appreciate it!

The problem with changing your number, is nowadays the original number is important because paypal can be like oh before you withdraw please confirm by text or call your number and only the original number will work
so important to keep them active

Ok sorry but I don't know anything about prepaid phones so let me know if I am wrong here.
I am assuming I can pay for a phone and then put $5 or something on it and get a number when I do so. Am I right?

I use tracfones. I pay $4.99 for the phone. You will need to hunt in yor area for these phones. The price of $4.99 includes 20 minutes over 60 days. When that expires, you can buy a $20 card that last over the course of 90 days. So it breaks down to $7 per month.

today, i saw tracphones at target, $9.99 each plus i needed to buy some minutes for it.
so i would need to buy a tracphone, buy minutes to activate it and if later down the road pp wants to reverify, i need to buy more minutes to allow it to receive messages right?

You can't let the SERVICE expire or you'll lose the number, so you need to keep the number active all the time, like someone said, it's around $20 every 3 months

You certainly can if you want to, but it comes with 10-20 free minutes right when you activate it so you'll be good for 2 months. That's more than enough to create and verify an account. Then when you're nearing the 2 month mark and the 60 service days is about to expire, that's when you'd need to add minutes/service days to keep the phone active.

now that i know they come with some minutes, I'm just gonna get the ones i saw for $5!
thanks a lot for that info.
also, im guessing if i have old phones around the house, i can't add a new number to those right?

Make sure it's a new number that goes in right from the time the account is made. Make really sure the number stays active.
oh, and I wondered, jdmswag', did anyone else suggest these files to help you with storing info for accounts & IPs? http://www.aspkin.com/forums/multipl...cel-sheet.html
AND http://www.aspkin.com/forums/multipl...-stealths.html
Since this is such a new adventure, best to go in all prepared!!!

I buy the minutes card and activate it through the phone?
in this case, i would get at&y $15 minutes card since i have old at&t phones.
is this correct?
and nope, i did see the "an easy way to track ip address" and it looked to confusing, but after seeing the first link you posted, i realized i have excel on my macbook, and now it looks super easy!! no more notepad for me!
only downside, the excel file won't transfer between user accounts right?
nonetheless, thanks for the first link, really clarified the second link. |
