As above, though I've sold high value electronics on accounts aged 3-6 months - providing you've done decent volume with no issues on low risk, low costs items- I think 1 year is a little overkill....

Nope, Natwest are still super friendly.
All this means is you can't set up direct debits from a savings account, which is completely normal.
