Had this problem myself this week, called in to be told there a system glitch and they did the bank account there and then on the phone.

You may just need to phone the bank and ask them for the code. It can take a few days on Halifax to show, but so long as you have waited that long I would give the bank a quick ring

aaaah, yes, also applies to me, when I send money which is £500+, that wont get to the other end for 72 hours.

I've just checked all my accounts and nothing has changed for me, but I will be creating couple of new accounts this weekend most likely so I'll keep myself alert to see if it is indeed something...

Last time this happened there was a problem with the faster payments system and after a few days it went back to normal, i had the same thing today also..

If it helps anyone the accounts I had limited where not purchased, had an entropay cc, voip for phone (with correct area codes), gmail email and two different banks.
