It's the slowest part of the year for eBay + recent changes on their end which seem to be affecting a lot of sellers.

I'm sure they're getting a lot of heat.. let's see how long this last.

So basically youre going full stealth with a US account.
Make sure you go across the border to get a US bank account - RBC offer a US bank account that will link directly to your Canadian RBC...

You can set item location to NY (or anywhere in the world) on your Canadian account. You can also list on .com directly using your CA account and that listing will be no diffrent from those listed on...
