You can add a US bank account to a UK PayPal for withdrawing purposes if done correctly.

it will get quicker once you touch the soft limit on paypal (around 10 days)
and if you get the hard limit it is around 3 days.

Your talking months before you can start selling 30 odd items for £450 each if you want to play it safe.

Depending on the item you may get hit with an invoice request as well by eBay or PayPal

Or you could get 100/3500 when creating the account so you don't need to go on chat. Type of card used as reimbursement method plays a lot on the limits you get, along with the choice of phone...
