Potable browsers keep the cookies separate which is good. It'd be better to run each under a different user account on your computer in case of flash cookies. Also make sure each do not share IP...

That information is incorrect. MAC addresses do not get passed beyond your router.

You absolutely don't need a VPN as long as you run UK accounts in UK. Mobile hotspot has QUALITY ip, and dynamic ip is the norm. Having a static IP from VPN is not better
