Default What Is The Best Web Hosting Site For A Small Business

I would like to set up a website and im looking for the best place to host it.

I really just need basically to put up information and pictures nothing crazy like videos or flash etc.

I definitely need a site that has site builder tools.

I did research on the top web hosting sites and I got this.

1. iPage
2. Justhost
3. Fatcow
4. Host gator
5. Yahoo
Those were the top 5 out of 10

Does anyone have any suggestions or recommendations.

Im looking to set up a site for my real estate business.

Thanks in advance.

Hostgator is probably the best... I use them for a lot of my sites. Their servers are hosted at 'The Planet' which has one of the best uptime records. They're fast, priced well and their technical support is actually amazing.

Well People don't use Big promising hosts like HostGator,000webhost,Soft-Layer and others.First check your hosting ip.If its using Softlayer - imediately GO AWAY FROM IT.
THEY SHUTTING DOWN PEOPLES SITES WITHOUT NOTICE,WITHOUT ABILITY TO BACKUP.
They are like PayPal in hosting sense.
If you need hosting that will not be shutdowned suddenly and WILL NOT BE REGULATED BY US LAWS - Choose Canadian or Netherlands based hosting.or Danemark based hosting.
Also look how long host is in business.
Hosting that are run by One-day resellers usually Down after recession.
More than 10 years is very good.
Like one DTS-NET DTSNET, Web Hosting, Managed Hosting, Internet Access and Global IP Network Services They running since 1997.
Also avoid to popular hosts - AS LOOK LIKELY THEY WILL LIMIT YOUR Bandwidth and one day you will get error 502.
I mean they will promise you unlimited traffic - But its bull**** as you know.
So Solution for your small business - Less promoted, old and good sites like dts-net and others. Also dts-net offers own nameservers.
Also avoid BRIGHT-MADE sites - Beside BRIGHT template stolen or bought from Template Monster they don't have anything else bright.
Regards
Nick

Ok, this can be true; however, the main things are

WHAT ARE YOU SELLING?
TRAFFIC?
HOW EASY DO YOU WANT THE WYSIWYG TO BE?

I use webhostingpad, ridiculously cheap, near perfect uptime, and the control panel is rather easy to use, with amazingly fast customer support.

Is that only for a small site? As you need more bandwidth you would need to go to HostGator.

100gigs a month bandwidth

its specifically designed for small businesses. I did a couple hours of google research and reviews and came to that being the cheapest solution.

Good options for small sites, 100GB a month is very limited. Anything larger and nothing really beats HostGator.

HOSTGATOR IS OVERPRICED BY FAR. MOST OF YOU CAN GET BY WITH SAME HOSTGATOR SPECS WITH ANOTHER COMPANY FOR ABOUT $3 A MONTH. Hostgator is way overpriced

Overpriced? Really, you're bargain hunting for something where the MOST expensive package is 13 dollars a month? really?

Shut up. Geez.. Always got something smaart to say.

Host gator is overpriced for the hosting plans they offer. You can get same hosting plan and save over 60%. Thats all I was saying.

And its not unlimited like they say.

That's true it's not unlimited - there's a fair usage policy. I'll have to check what the maximum is in the fine print.

HostGator sucks!
Better try 1and1 - they are good in domains.
IN 2004 they were giving 25 free .info for every customer for 1 year.

Hey guys, I was able to snag a couple sweet domain names on namescheap and I have plans on how monetize them all plan on starting during january, my only question is I plan on using Host Gator as my host and I see that there second plan allows you to add unlimited domains for $10 a month and unlimited bandwidth. So does that mean that I can host all my domain names with just one plan? even though they all will be different?

This sounds kinda to good to be true lol or maybe I'm just a noob when it comes to this, so if it does infact mean I can host all my domains on there for that low price is there any cons? Also is there any really useful difference between the baby plan and the business plan, seems pretty much the same except some things i dont think i need.
