I want to startup a basic website, a basic e-commerce site, catalog style, Has to be an easy setup, I am not very computer savy and get aggravated easily. Can anyone make a suggestion to a easy build-yourself website, what should I use for payment, I have a 8 year old paypal account, that is linked to my suspended EB accounts, but have over 10000 transctions on it, still use it for some payment, (craigs list, Ioffer etc), should I use that at all? thanks for the help

Im also not that savvy but ive made a few websites over the years and I just started using HostMonster to make a similar website, you can get some free templates, $50 in Google adwords, $50 for yahoo, and everything is included for about $70, pretty easy to use and good support, and im using my old Paypal to receive payments and its doing well so far.

I would say cs-cart.com but it may be too much for you... Check it out; it's one of the best carts I've found. No coding needed, it has a backend admin that you do all the changes to your site from.

Hostgator is pretty good as well; I use them for a lot of my sites. They're hosted at The Planet, which has a really good uptime record besides that explosion they had a week ago. Other then they're good.

You're Paypal is okay to use too, just do not try to use it with eBay and you'll be fine.

I do not recommend using the out of the box build sites, you will get a crappy generic site that has very little seo value. Your time and money buidling a site with most of average stuff out there will wasted .

1st - pay up for a logo design, something decent will run $100 - $200, have a couple banners(728 x 60) and buttons(125 x125) included in the cost - try Craigslist

2nd find a web designer, You will need 2 pages from him, your index (main page) and a page template, demand that the designer use your logo as the cornerstone of the site design. (300- 500) try rent a coder it is worth it if you can't code

3rd go to mercantec.com , they offer a free easy to use shopping cart setup that will work with your paypal acct. also signup for Google checkout, to give another choice to your customers.

4th - Get the SEO book, buy it or get a torrent, read that BEFORE building your pages.

5th - Put in the work to build the pages, not that hard once you have template pages,

6th - GET LINKS! AND then get More Links

7th - watch the money flow!
