yeah ebay seem to be adjusting to be a little more receptive to sellers responses to the crackpots at the moment, which is always a good thing when you have distant seller regs that are just insane...

It is not a myth and used to happen but most of the methods used are no longer available as far as I know. I think someone worked out the email system used by ebay and started emailing people higher...
