How does "Trust this device" work?

I have 2 Paypals with 2 seperate VmWares.

I also have the 2FA authenticator on both.

Each time I login, I put my code and check the option "Trust this device", but it always keeps asking for...

Right now holds are also for OFF ebay transactions too.
That's a new thing that started ONLY in the last 2 to 3 weeks.
Whether it depends on the bank or not is a different thing.

Based on my experience my chances are 50/50 of them accepting the information they ask for, that's why I prefer to provide them...
