I also opened the Santander basic and am using both the account numbers attached to the account and have received payments from paypal on both now so it all seems to be working well. Easy to open...

I phoned the number on the letter, as they wanted an explanation to the situation. I thought it would be them just telling me accounts were being closed.

So just opened a online saver with BoS and after I notice it says I can have only have a max of 1 online saver with them. This kind of surprised me as I know how easy it is to get many at Halifax.

One slightly curious thing for me is after opening a BoS basic and getting a card and pin, next time I log onto Halifax online I find the details of my BoS listed there with all my Halifax accounts?...
