If you host and access your VM from the same machine, you'd get lousy performance and probably unstable images. This is a Type 2 hypervisor. These usually require a lot of processing power, ram, etc...

If Virtual machines are not working for you, just use separate user accounts on windows.

As far as I'm aware, eBay works great on user accounts and it is much easier than managing virtual...

I'm not sure I implied in my prior post that certain sim cards cause issues on eBay - or shouldn't be retained after registration.
I merely noted that using GiffGaff carries needless upfront costs...

I despise Giffgaff. Years ago they used to require a top-up to reveal the mobile number. So if you created say 15 accounts, it's ££ top-up. Never that!

All networks recycle numbers by the way.

I don't suppose virtual machines are a problem with ebay. All our accounts are on VMs but just not the rugular VMs around.

As regards the port scanning thing, ebay has been doing that for years....

No, I don't add any credit cards and have never used a current account either.
I've only employed revolut disposable cards for refunds and they self-destruct after a charge but eBay doesn't know...

It has been fine for us. All bank accounts attached to our eBay account are strictly savings (without DD) and they don't seem to care. Everything's been fine for ages with no deposit reversed.

Addresses are real initially, then they become anything later. In my experience, they don't bother to run successive checks especially if you're not doing anything that breaks policy.
