Default Going Back to Suspended Accounts AFTER Reinstatement

Well, due to the sound advice of eBay Stealth and Modee I started up two new accounts and both are now PowerSellers. I have jumped the hurdle of the PayPal ID verification nicely.

During the last 8 months I have managed to talk eBay (AU) into reinstating my 3 previously suspended accounts (not easy). One was canned for heaps of infrigements including VeRO then they all went down. One of them I have had since 99.

Now I want to bring the old ID's home (I have been operating them from a friends place) and leave the new ones for a while and just in case the same thing happens again. That way I will have two to fall back on. Plus I dont want Mr Taxman knocking on my door because these two accounts have had a few $$$'s go through them.

Should I just do the same in reverse (ie never answer emails from - or log into - the new ones from home, reinstall XP and turn off modem for a few hours?

Any thing in particular I should look out for? Will eBay even check that the current accounts were in use while others were suspended? Its been about a month since they reinstated my old accounts.

You have had a stealth account going on 10 years?! That's the oldest one I have heard of.

To get your computer ready you have to clear flash cookies, cookies, remove any ebay programs you might have on it(if you have ever had turbolister then I suggest you read the thread that talks about what to do with it) and change your ip. It would probably be easiest to make a new user account on your computer( so you can forget about flash cookies and cookies) and then remove any programs if you have any and then change your ip.

Do you have a router?

I agree with lakeman. Setup user accounts on your PC for each ebay account you have. Then just make sure to change your IP Address before you log into a different account.

You don't want your accounts to link that's for sure.

Talking

Maybe he had an early copy Stealth did not come out until 2007(Luckily for us)

Like aspkin and you said, the OP needs to make different user accounts and ensure the IP is changed. I would add he MUST keep good records of everything.

Yes different profiles in XP, also called user accounts.

You're doing good to keep your stealth account going for that long.

So, do I need to worry about IE or Flash cookies if I create another profile/user in XP?

What's IE? If you meant IP then, you do have to worry about your IP it has to changed per account, but you don't have to worry about flash cookies for multiple user accounts. They stay with each user account.

Oh, I was thinking that, then I thought no. lol

I think this is what your asking, but it would be a lot better to forget about IE and get Firefox, if you don't already have it.

Hi aliman, I want to know what you told ebay and how you convinced them to reinstate your 10 year old indefinate suspended account. I recently had a 10+ year old account that had steller feedback (10,000+ with 99.9% +) suspended indefinately and would surely love to get this one back! How long did you wait after it got suspended to get this back?

Hi Aliman,
I also would like to hear what you said to convince ebay to reinstate your account. I also have an account suspended with over 10,000 feedback and over 99% with descent dsr's. I have not contacted yet about resinstatement because I wanted to let things cool off a while. Besides I am doing stealth and also have a legit account going thru a family member now. Let us know

Basically a fair bit of time had passed between suspension and my request. Maybe 12 months?

The email was a real suck-job saying how much I missed it and how I felt I had more to offer the eBay community etc etc.
