Business or Personal

Been looking through the forum for a while now, but this is my first post.
I recently was selling on ebay reasonably successfully with sales hitting approx 800 units per month with £3000 - £4000 turnover pm. Unfortunately an accident resulted in an extended stay in hospital and as a result my accounts fell into arrears in terms of delivering products and as a result accounts are limited.

I am looking to re-establish new accounts and start again. But I require the function of a shop so that i can list items until cancelled.

The majority of items I sell are under £10, and I need to set up paypal as a micro payments account, so will need to phone them to do this.

My question is, is it better to set up as a personal account, or should i set up as a business account.

From memory, if i set up as business - do they ask me to upload photographic and address ID/confirmation.

Any advice would be appreciated.

If you want to open an ebay shop, you'll need a business account.

You'll be asked for documentation at some point whether your Paypal is personal or business.

The "favoured" set up on here for UK accounts is a business ebay linked to a personal Paypal.

Yep thats what I thought, but was wondering if paypal would recognise that your ebay account is business whilst only being registered as personal with paypal and would this casue issues?

It doesnt cause any issues having that setup. Its the best way to run accounts imo.
