US Individual account need bank statement and ID now?

does individual Amazon account need bank statement and ID now? I just opened a new stealth account and they ask me to upload these. I thought they only require utility bill only?

Its been pretty mandatory now for all new accounts. Its a hit and miss but most new accounts require them.

so, should i scanned them or take pictures of them? which one is easier to get approval from Amazon?

I think either way works for the monkeys on Amazon. As long as they can read the info, it should be good.

If you read the image upload requirements they seem to state scanned versions.

Either photos or scans work but doesn't hurt to do exactly what they're asking
