Re: Buyer's address invalid on profile
I'm sorry this happened to you, and yes, some buyers are idiots, most of my 'lost' packages are due to the fact buyers don't know their own address, or moved and didn't update the 'ship to' address in PP or EB, or the forwarding order expired.
This is, sadly, just a part of the mail order business.
A sale is not actually complete until 1. the product has been purchased and paid for 2. the product is delivered 3. the customer finds the product to be acceptable to them.
Your package wasn't delivered, so the sale is not complete. It may be unfair and unreasonable, it may not even be your fault, but the buyer didn't get what they paid for. The same thing is true if the post office lost your package.
I understand they messed up the address. As I said, it happens to me like 5-6X a month. It's frustrating. It's unfair. I end up resending and paying all over again for postage when it was their fault.
But that's the way it works. You have the money, they don't have the product.
Think of it this way: you buy a grill at Wally-Mart. They say, 'meet us at the loading dock around back, we'll load it in your car', you say 'the one on the left?' and they say 'sure'. You wait and after a while when they never deliver it, you walk back in and they say, 'oh, you were at the wrong left side dock, i guess you lose your money and the grill'. You, of course say, "I didn't get my grill, give me my money back!'
This is what your customer is saying: I didn't get my product, I want my money back.
