Amazon first item to sell

how do you start selling it asks for receipt for first item etc. amazon has changed in past few years. i want to sell maybe 100 items do i need a business account?

Well......technically anywhere you sell may require you to have receipts. I believe after 50 items or so you will be required to get a Pro account....not sure if that is the same as a business account.

MM78 is right. When ever dealing with Amazon they can request receipts when ever they want for any of your items. If you ever have issues with this inventory as well such as reconciling these items Amazon will always require invoices beforehand.

To simply list and sell items Amazon generally does not ask for receipts unless they're a high risk, gated or branded category. For example, if you sell used softcover books you likley will never be asked for receipts.

Normally the don't ask for invoices as long as the account is established with history/previous sales

A brand new store selling somewhat high risk products will always request invoices the majority of the time

Focus on selling low risk products to establish a new account
