Default Always pay eb fees and not use PP?

I can't remember where I read or heard this...
Maybe it was the stealth guide - can't remember.

Should I pay eb fees with a card?
Is it OK to use PP? If so... why would this be an issue in anyway?

I read in another post... pay upfront and be in control of fees due - and don't let eb take direct from a bank account.
Any other advice to do with this?

Thanks.

I like to pay in advance with a gift card but other ppl use pp without problems.

The only issue with pp (well 2) is to avoid DRAINING pp and to make sure funds are clear to use - basically.

You can pay with a card directly on ebay, but its so much easier just let them take it out of your paypal account at the end of each month.

I've been doing this for years, and I haven't had a problem. But yes you're right, I've read it somewhere too that you shouldn't let them take it out your PayPal balance. But that must of been a really old post as i've been doing it for over 5 years without issues.

I pay fees daily via Paypal balance on my busiest accounts because I don't like the amount due to build up.

I do this, almost daily:
- pay due eBay fees
- process any returns/refunds
- withdraw all but $50-100 from PP to bank

Most of the time when someone says "pay upfront and stay in control" they're meaning to use eBay's "one time payment" option to pay your fees frequently. That way you don't end up with a large amount being automatically deducted from your PP.

With all that being said, adding a CC directly to eBay also works fine. Good way to earn CC points.
