Added a number registered in account owner name, yet unable to get text

I added a new number (Non-VOIP) that I registered with the stealth US paypal account owner name, yet unable to get text, Whenever I try to confirm the number, I get a message saying that a text has been sent BUT then there's another message also saying something is wrong with the number, am I doing this too quickly? would I have to wait for some days for Paypal to register the number before I can verify/ confirm the number?

Is this a different number than what the account was created with?

If so, it may take 3 or more months before PayPal recognizes the new number where you can receive texts to it.

This is especially true if the original number was confirmed with PayPal.

So this way I can't make it my primary number? can I still receive and send on this account?

Can I still make adequate use of a paypal account even though the number hasn't been confirmed/ updated?

That depends on if they are asking you to text or call verify when you do something or not
