Default ebay crap service fro sellers again

Hi everyone.

I feel disappointed again, of course due to ebay poor service for sellers. The case now is like two weeks ago I send an item to a buyer and I told him I had to send the item without batteries because of a restriction here to send batteries and after I said that in a message he wanted his money back immediately so for me that was very suspicious, anyways after he received the item, he wanted to open a case for a item as not described and sent me a message complaining about the batteries and he also said I had to give them an accessory it was not on my listing. A week after that he could open a case on ebay and an ebay representative emailed me saying I had to offer free return shipping but according to my listing the return is paid by the buyer, and after the case is opened the only option I have on ebay is issue a refund, not other button. Therefore as far as I see the buyer can get the item for free or I have to pay him a free return I did not offer, what a joke is ebay for sellers these days.

Free returns are slowly but surely becoming mandatory across all platforms. Amazon offered it and they are the biggest, so other platforms are forced to offer the same thing to keep the experience positive for buyers. It's more important for eBay to keep buyers happy than to keep sellers happy, because there will always be sellers willing to pick up the slack you leave if you quit selling. But if all the buyers go away, eBay is done.

Sorry to hear about your situation, but there's really nothing you can do here except accept the return or refund the buyer without getting the item back. If I were you I would go ahead and email them a return shipping label so you aren't dragging this out.

Sorry to hear, but this is how the business world is, there'll always be people like this and worse. Consider it cost of doing business.

Just accept the return, get your product back and refund the guy and BLOCK him.

the harder part is when it's not your fault and others just abuse you.

But as long as our gains are much larger than our loses, it's ok.

It is happening very often to me the days and especially with buyers with 0 feedback.

Last news.

Few days ago I called ebay and they told me they were going to close this case in my favor but few days later, they did it in buyer's favor and he got the refund and kept the items, a buyer with 0 feedback who just opened an ebay account the day he bought my item. Ebay now is the nest for scamers.

There will always the buyers who prey on the sellers :( it's not a "now" issue....it's always existed, sadly

Hi everyone.

I called ebay about it and first they wanted me to pay return fees if i want my item and so first i need to pay the negative balance from paypal and the returning fees which I also don't know so when I explained to them and they said I need to ask that to the buyer which I doubt he will replay to me because he got the item and the moneyback. Then I called them again and they want me to talk with paypal to reverse the charge, but they should do that. Crap service.
I'm an ebay customer for years and it is going from bad to worse.
