Default keeps asking for phone verif. everytime I sign on? HELP!

Okay so everytime I log onto my accounts it wants a phone verification AGAIN! Says that it can't recognize my computer, blah blah....how do I get around this or fix this? What a pain and not working well for me because I don't plan on keeping my numbers forever...

Do you use this account to sell stuffs? If yes, then why don't keep a valid phone#?

How many times have you done successful phone verification on this account? Do you have multiple accounts? If so, how do you handle them?

More detail needed.

Yes, I use the account to sell. I have 9 others and don't want to keep 10 numbers if I don't have to. Even if I do keep the numbers, am I going to have to deal with this everytime I go to log onto another account?

I change my MAC, use different windows ID's and firefox.

They usually ask for phone verification if they do not recognize the computer. This could be one of the following reasons:

-Cookies are erased all the time
-Flash cookies are not being stored
-Your IP does not match your physical address (unlikely...but could contributes).

Do you use different user accounts between the accounts you use? Make sure cookies remain stored, eBAY will find you delicious and sexy if you do and might stop asking for phone verification.

LOL!!! Delicious and sexy-I love it!!

Yes, I use different user ID's for each account. And I use firefox and have it set to automatically delete upon exit. I guess if I have different user ID's I don't really need to do that and it would probably be better if I didn't? I can't keep needing a phone call everytime I sign on, what a pain in the ass...

DING DING DING! We hhaaavve a winner, come on down!

That's your problem. No need to clear cookies if you use different user accounts. Leave them on and eBAY will recognize, therefore stop asking you to verify yourself.

However, keeping an active phone number for at least 60 days is a VERY good idea.

Yes. If you can earn a lot more from eBay than a phone bill, it's worth it. Keep several numbers inactive, several active, wait & see eBay's gonna knock on which door later some time.
